One of the highest beer gardens in Thuringia is located at the Kulmberghaus, 482 metres above sea level. The altitude offers all visitors a unique view over Saalfeld. With its relaxed atmosphere, the beer garden invites not only hikers to linger. The Kulmberghaus is also a worthwhile destination for cyclists and motorcyclists.

Of course, parents and grandparents can also treat themselves to a break while the children explore our own natural wood playground and experience their own adventures.

We have space for 120 guests in the beer garden, around half of which is under cover. We are happy to take bookings for groups of 10 or more.

When is the beer garden open?

Our beer garden is open daily from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, but please note that this is weather dependent. The opening of the beer garden may depend on the current weather conditions.

We are happy to inform our valued guests about the availability of our beer garden via our social media platforms, should we be closed due to unfavourable weather. Please follow us on facebook or instagram, to stay up to date and ensure that your visit to the beer garden is a pleasant experience.

What is the catering offer?

Our gastronomic offer in the beer garden is varied and changes regularly to provide you with new flavour experiences. The classics that you can always find include chips with nuggets, refreshing drinks such as cola and beer, a selection of ice creams as well as delicious coffee and tempting cakes.
